The HHS Link Crew is a group that is dedicated to "linking" Harrison to the community. Leaders are responsible for organizing orientation for incoming freshman at the beginning of the year as well as being mentors for these students throughout the school year. Link leaders can also be found at many HHS events, including events such as football games, band concerts, and academic meets in order to help members of the community and students alike become more familiar with HHS and helping with event management. If you are at an HHS event and need help, chances are that you will be able to find a link leader somewhere near to assist you. Just look for the black polo with the Link Leader emblem!
Who are Link Leaders?
Link leaders are responsible juniors and seniors who were chosen from a large pool of applicants at the end of last school year. For the 2013-2014 school year, we have selected a wonderful group of 55 students who will serve as link leaders for the year.
Link Leader Mission Statement
A Link Leader is first and foremost an ambassador of Harrison High School to the community. If someone from the community came to Harrison for the first time, who would you want to greet them? We are looking for students who we think would be able to establish the kind of first impression that Harrison deserves. We are not looking for the perfect student, perfect athlete, or most involved student. We are looking for personable, outgoing, and respectful students who would be willing and able to fulfill these duties with class and dignity. Link leaders will be more than freshman mentors, they will be the face of Harrison High School today and for the future.
